I never owned a neogeo either. I played metal slug for the first time on neoragex. Sadly there is no arcade rom for metal slug 6. Metal slug 7 is DS exclusive WTF is that i have no interest in DS games would rather play it on my psp 2000 with CFW.

Anyone know if the Hori fighting stick for wii is supported? I just won Metal Slug on eBay and it’ll completely suck to not be able to use a joystick to play this game.

grah i know this is a wii review but metal slug is metal slug anyways what i was about to say
i really need 2 get metal slug anthology for my psp

I mean having 1 Metal Slug is FANTASIC

Having all Metal slugs THEN I WOULD HATE YOU FOR HAVING SOMETHING SO GOOD

But having all Metal Slugs on the go PRICELESS!

I thought I praised the game rather well. The lack of D-pad support is a decent size issue that the people who would consider buying this game would like to know about.

Otherwise I thought I graded this game rather well. Are you saying I over-praised it?

    Are you just an idiot?

Where can you find those computer arcade sticks. I have a MAME emulator.

  9. superbrawl64 February 3, 2010 3:12 am

    no!!!!!!

This game is available on the PSP and it works great on it. There is a bit of a wait between loading areas and occasional slowdown, but it works great.

You are completely correct, you need real skill to succeed in this game because you will get your butt kicked a lot.

  11. ptwob February 3, 2010 6:12 am

this game i got on my psp, loveley ;)
allthough an arcade stick works best.

  16. maxsonly February 3, 2010 10:12 am

Playing this game again is still badass.

  17. SuperMasterNintendo6 February 3, 2010 11:12 am

You can play the full game of the 6 first Metal Slug games?
I’m somewhat always fooled that it’s only a resuming of the games.

I love the DS one its great!! for some reason I cant get use to using with shaking the Wii mote to throw frags on this one for the Wii

  19. thanyou February 3, 2010 12:12 pm

i really thought that it wasn’t such a good idea to archive all the games into one, because who really likes always playing those games, I mean the reason i liked them was because I only played it at the arcade itself, so it was more worthy of my quarter than the 40 bucks, although it is a good game in general, I really thought not as many people would buy it as they actually did

Just my opinion, don’t say im hatin on Metal gear, it is very awesome, but those are just my remarks

    2:22, my fav boss

  25. MANofINACTION February 3, 2010 6:12 pm

Dude.. the original arcade versions of metal slug used a stick, not a d-pad so I don’t know what the problem is…

  26. ChicoEdge February 3, 2010 7:12 pm

You can use the remote sideways and use the D-Pad but that means you have to shake the controller to throw grenades.

  27. tvman1234567890 February 3, 2010 7:12 pm

  28. 1DAMU2MAXILAR February 3, 2010 8:12 pm

  29. yotin97 February 3, 2010 8:12 pm

The ps2 version is great but I haven’t played the wii version. But after hearing this review, in my opinion, Ps2 version iz better. cuz u can use the d-pad. And one more thing, u forgot to talk about the 7 games and the extra unlockable content.

We had a neogeo arcade cabinet in my squadron where I took my training while in the airforce and I used to drop $30 or more a weekend playing metal slug!
I hope they release a patch for this game so it supports the new arcade stick for the Wii! That would make this game a perfect 10 for me!

  31. warsman111 February 3, 2010 9:12 pm

I am getting this for the ps2. Also these games are great two player games.

  32. Isle0fRed February 3, 2010 9:12 pm

  33. LiveToby February 3, 2010 10:12 pm
